Data Protection
Your rights under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 — and how we honour them.
Our commitment
Applying for credit means trusting a lender with sensitive information — identity documents, statements, asset details. Aspire treats that trust as part of the product. We collect only what assessment requires, use it only for stated purposes, protect it with appropriate safeguards, and never sell it.
Your rights at a glance
- Right to be informed — know what data we hold and why (see our Privacy Policy).
- Right of access — request a copy of your personal data.
- Right to correction — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Right to deletion — request erasure where processing is no longer justified.
- Right to object or restrict — object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Right to complain — escalate to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) if unsatisfied with our response.
Exercising your rights
Email info@aspirelenders.co.ke with your request and proof of identity, or write to Aspire Lending, Rehema Place, Office Suite D24, P.O. Box 803-00232, Nairobi, Kenya. We respond within the timelines set by the Act.
How we protect data day to day
Access to customer records is restricted to staff who need it; documents are stored securely; and data connected to completed facilities is retained only as long as legal record-keeping requires, then securely disposed of. [Add certifications/registration details, e.g. ODPC registration, after verification.]
